    Denon AH-7200

The first statement is true. However, pads can change frequency responses drastically that cables cannot do (frequency measurement). There is no way for me to prove that cables don't work, but I have doubts on how much change/improvement we can get through cable swapping.

I used to own both then sold X00 later on. X00 is a good headphone but D7200 sounds slightly better to my ears in terms of bass response. YMMV

    Denon AH-7200

I have been using the Dekoni TH900 sheepskin pads for almost an year. they are not bad sound signature wise, but I have trouble with the durability. The surface of the dekoni pads get worn much faster than expected, causing the materials to flake off once awhile when you wear them. I mentioned...

Any recommandation on earpads replacement for D7200?

    Denon AH-7200

Not sure about the changes in sound, but I have experienced headband break-ins on D7200. I suggest pad swapping if you ever get a chance to do so. The original pads get sweaty and hot for me during summer time.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Even though I'm not using IEMs as much as I used to do, Andromeda always outshines every opponent when I make comparisons side by side. I was thinking of selling it because of my general lack of usage of IEMs, then my mind told me that I will regret if I do. It was polarizing XD

The effects that cable materials have on sound is not noticeable. Do not trust those snake oil sales person. Normal copper is the cheapest and my go-to choice.

I have a HiFi-M8 for sale if anyone is interested just PM me. Everything is tested working except the battery amount indicator which isn't a big deal. All accessories included and looking for 199 USD shipped to the US. I found it along with an iPod 160gb 7th gen while cleaning the house :d

    Denon AH-7200

It appears to be a cheaper version of D7200 with slightly worse cable. Earpads looks the same other than the colour. I would like to know if the headbands are improved or not though.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Anyone knows the current price of used Andromeda? I'm planning to sell mine because it is not getting enough usage. It's the best IEM unrivaled in terms of sound, but I found myself digging speaker setups more frequently.

I have been pairing mine with DA-310USB since I bought the headphones. The soundstage is exactly what I wanted: roommy and accurate. The bass response was the main reason why I like the D7200 so much.

    Denon AH-7200

After owning D7200 for an entire year, I have the same opinion as folks mentioned above. The headband design is certainly flawed along with acceptable earpads. I haven't heard D7000, but D7100 is no way flatter than D7200 to my ears. Swapping pads might give you a better result but not a...

The difference is subtle enough that I don't think it is worth swapping cables. Headphones cable in general do not impact frequency but many enthusiasts claims major alterations in sound quality. if you have extra cash then maybe give it a shot.

Portable devices nowadays are sufficient. Pairing them with dedicated source/amp though would never be a bad thing.

They look like entirely two different headphones? There is no way that anyone would mistakenly buy B8 when looking for MM400s.

Modding is common among head-fi communities. What Beagle meant probably was that d7200 is good as it-is , and he is not going against modding. We all have heard "subjectivity" many times right? Modding headphones is just an opinion, and you are welcome to share your experience. I have only...

I use the Dekoni th900 pads mainly looking for longer listening session. The sound signature is slightly darker than original pads, but it does maintain the overall balance. Based on months of wearing, I'll recommend them to those that have spare cash.

    Win a SUSVARA

I had great impression from HIFIMAN's previous HE-500 and HE-6. My expectation on Susvara is very high consider how much it retails for. It's nice to see HIFIMAN having giveaways for our community.

That is indeed a cosmetic defect from the manufacturing process. I'll say ask for replacement if the store allows.

People can also import from Amazon Japan for less than $800 with expedited shipping. I don't know why D&M holdings didn't already distribute them in the U.S. however. D600/D7100 releases were widely available.
