Could anyone tell me if the Accurate Sound filters work in JRiver Media Centre? (I'm a noob with filters, but apparently JRiver does seem to be able to use filters, just not sure if these particular ones though.......)

Thanks for this, very useful to me. When you say "soundstage, no" do you mean that CA-1A has a smaller soundstage than HD800S, or just that its about the same as HD800S?

In any way really, or maybe some comparisons, e.g. soundstage width/depth, imaging, bass weight/extension. CA-1a is roughly 2x cost of HD800S so would like to know if it is worth purchasing (but I'm not expecting the performance to be 2x HD800S).

Is anyone able to comment on comparisons with HD800/800S and whether CA-1A is an upgrade?

I have a Line Magnetic LM-210 SET amp (300B) with a choice of 4/8/16 ohm taps. Would either the SR1b or CA-1a be ok using the TI-1b interface (via the 16 ohm on the 300B amp), or would it be better to use the TI-1c interface which appears to be more suitable in general for these types of amps?

How does HD800S sound with the HiFiMan box? I'm also thinking of using an 8W SET 300B tube amp.

Has anybody here got any experience or seen any reviews of the ampsandsound Black Box adapter: https://ampsandsound.com/products/black-box-headphone-adapter Wonder how it compares to the Hifiman adapter. Would I need one of these boxes to run HD800 off a 300B tube amp?

I have never heard the HEDD hut from what I have read it seems it should play well with tubes. I have a 300B amp which is stunning on speakers and I would love to demo with these phones.

@pataburd - how much travel do you have on the volume pot for comfortable listening using the speaker taps?

Hey I'm not trying to imply anything negative at all. I'm just highlighting some greatly differing opinions on soundstage from people who have actually heard them. I do hope your assessment is correct because if so then indeed this could be a game changer.

+1 for the YFS cables. I ordered both the headphone and speaker copper cables for the SR1a. With my Bryston amp they provide a tad more warmth and tame the highs ever so slightly. Not night and day (not burnt in yet) but already a tangible improvement in my system but YMMV.

When listening to binaural tracks with Sr1a, should the drivers be best placed flat against the ears?
