Does it pay to get the V-MODA XS if you own the M-80?

Yeah to my knowledge the drivers are the same, or at least "very" minor difference. Basically the main and only difference is the hinges like your u said. Most people that upgrade from m80's go to the M100's, myself included.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Not yet.  They don't irritate my ears as they just barely touch.  If my ears start getting sore I'll think about it.  I just like how they are compact and close to my head.  I don't have the Princess Leia look.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Just received my matt black M100.  Love them.  I had the M80's which were great but find the M100's more comfortable.  The ear cups are shallow but aren't too bad.  My ears "just" touch so it doesn't cause any discomfort.  I love how compact these are.  The M100 box is smaller then the M80 box...

    V-MODA Shield Design Discussion

I think Alucard's insignia would look pretty good too.  Though it may be a bit too  "busy".  Might get away with the LP/m100's but the much for SX/M80's.

    Beats Executive... Another disappointment

These are supposed to be strictly Beats headphones not Monster. I never hear them but Beat's and Monster split up about 10 months ago.

    New Beats Headphones, the "Executive"

What is the sound leakage like? The studios were horrible for leaking way too much sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

My logo is the same as yours and i bought it from a verified dealer.  It would make more sense to have it the way you suggest though.  That way when i take them off my ears and put them around my neck the v-moda logo would be seen by anyone behind me.  I did a google search and found pictures of...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I got the same insert as you and I ordered them from B&H Photo which is listed as a verified dealer on the V-moda website.  I saw an unboxing of the V-80's which had a totally different insert, and one for the m80's that looked similar on one side but didn't have he 20% off.  I guess it depends...

What is the perfect headphone for sound, portability and comfort?

If you are looking for on/over ears i also recommend v/m80's.  I picked up a pair about a week ago and i love them.  They don't fold but are relatively compact, I was actually surprised how small they are.  They are tiny compared to the Studio's (i know don't laugh lol) and Bose QC15's that I...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

Got my m80's about a week ago and listened to them all easter weekend.  They sound great.  I did experience the soar ears for the first few times I wore them but I played with the head band and also let the ear cushions soften up.  They feel great now and i'm able to wear them for a few 2-3 hrs...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I emailed B&H photo, looks like someone did a copy and paste from the m80 description to the v80.  They are looking into fixing it.

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

U know the m80's come bundled slightly different. But that description was for the v80's on b&hphoto.  Like the style of the V80's slightly better but would rather a 3button cable then an audio only, especially since they are on sale at amazon right now.  Plus i have to find out how amazon ships...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

Are  the V80's bundled differently depending on where you buy them?  B&H states :   "The headphones come with 2 different Kevlar-reinforced cables to provide maximum compatibility. One cable has an inline microphone and 3-button remote, allowing you to make calls, take voice notes, control...
