Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
i'm interested to see how much of the performance will be able to be trickled down to the lower price point models. E3 driver looks absolutely massive and AMT doesn't look easy to manufacture either. Hopefully we see companies continue to push the price to performance envelope.- 24grant24

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF
I remember originally the driver housings were going to be ceramic, I see that it has changed to ABS now. Can you elaborate on why you ended up making that decision and how it will impact sound. I was impressed when I saw you would be using ceramic because it is difficult to manufacture, more...- 24grant24

if those 1060's are from the oem I think they are they are likely using a driver designed very closely after audezes drivers.- 24grant24

Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!
that 20db higher bass distortion figure I quoted for the hd800s is from measurements on a site that is verboten on head-fi, but innerfidelities measurements show the same bass distortion in less detail. deny it all you want though if it makes you feel better.- 24grant24

Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!
the 800s has 20db more bass distortion than the original hd800. It is still better to buy an 800 and mod it with felt or cork or whatever than to buy the 800s- 24grant24

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
I would much rather see companies constantly working to improve their product instead of waiting 7 years for an update, the quality of sound will never improve if we don't keep pushing boundaries. The hd800 is a special case because of the quality of engineering and ingenuity put into it...- 24grant24

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Just curious but what kind of computer modeling did you guys do to optimize the shape of these true flow pieces, those videos of the difference in air flow look be made with some expensive software! Also are they 3d printed or cast?- 24grant24

Focal Elear and Utopia Review / Preview With Measurements - Head-Fi TV
4k doesnt cause sibilance it is responsible for crunch, and even so 20db would be complete overkill to avoid any sibilance. And the compensation curve or measurement rig isn't the issue because the very consistent hd800 was measured and is available on the same rig so it shows how the different...- 24grant24

Focal Elear and Utopia Review / Preview With Measurements - Head-Fi TV
OK, I'll talk about the new focal headphones. I don't think it is remotely possible for the Elear to be considered "High fidelity" when the measurements (head-fis own measurements I should add) show it to be down 20 decibels! at 4khz from 1 khz.- 24grant24

Listen I am the furthest thing from a fan of the 400i, i really dont like it, but I would NEVER describe it as muddy, yes different people hear different things, and prioritze different strengths in a headphone, and use different words to describe things , but i dont think anybody would call the...- 24grant24

really? that doesn't really make sense why they would do that. and they don't even offer the tuning kit for sale separately either, they really should do both imo. Oh well guess I was wrong.- 24grant24
