I'm trying to make a 4-pin XLR to dual 3.5mm cable work with my MDR-z7s. The cable works with my Fostex T-X0, so I assume it has to be rewired to work with the z7. Does anyone know what is required and if it's at the XLR termination or the drivers? Thanks for any help.

It's not the cable or D5 since they work with my Fostex T-X0. So it must be the Z7s. Here's the right driver - does anyone know which pads would allow these to work with standard balanced cables when rewired?

DAC: Sabaj D5 One of the differences I see with the XMOS drivers installed is I can select 16 and 24-bit depths as opposed to only 32-bit with the default Windows USB driver. Are XMOS drivers only for those using an audio interface and/or playing back lossless?
