My E17 has a loose headphone jack and MP4 nation refuse to fix it. I have tried connecting the two loose points with a screwdriver and it fixes the problem. Would anyone suggest soldering the points together?

Just wondering, I plugged my E17 into my PS3 through optical/toslink and tried to play music through my headphones. Now I am unable to get sound at all. It was working perfectly before over USB, but now nothing. Is it possible that i may have fried a transistor or something? The PS3's output was...

My E17 arrived a few days ago and drives my HD650s really well. I love the build quality. The pouch and the little rubber stickers are a really nice addition too. I'm loving gaming on my PS3 using the E17's toslink function. Battlefeild sounds more alive than ever. 

Whoa, the fact that they are the same price as standard is pretty impressive. I'm thinking carbon black arms and grilles, with abyss frames, rings, and headband. now all I need is 1.5K... 

I was really excited about remote play between the PS3 and the Vita, until I learned that PS3 games will only be supported via specific updates. Also, I can't really see Bethesda updating Skyrim to support remote play.     Ah well, I wonder what the audio streaming will be like?

Hopefully the Vita will be able to output to a USB DAC/amp like the Fiio e17. Possibly through the new dock connector. All we'd need is an adapter. 

ClieOS, How well do you think the e17 will pair with the HD700? 

I have also ordered this, only a few days to wait now. I was really glad to see that it only cost $135 instead of the originally posted $150. Plus a free pair of IEMs. That's what I call a good deal.

Has anyone tried using the Fiio E7 in conjunction with the D3 to receive the PS3's optical output; If so, could you please give your impressions?

Has anyone with early access to the E17 had chance to try the DAC with the PS3's optical output? If so, could you please give an overview? 

I also have a pair of 558's and have removed the foam strips. The difference is not enough to make them sound quite as good as the 598's ( I think you'd need to change the grille for that, if it's even possible), but it definitely helps to make them sound more open and improves the bass fairly...

Does anyone think that the $150 price point suggested by Chung James on facebook will be accurate? If so, then this will be a very worthy investment, considering that The e7 plus the d3 for optical will cost you around $120 or more.
