A Christmas gift for myself - LCD XC:)

Well, here it is!     (Please forgive my English, I am not a English native:)   Just curious, I decided to make my XC an open one... Not having a LCD-X at hand, I can't tell the differences between these two, but the "open-version" LCD-XC really sounds much better than that it wearing the...

A Christmas gift for myself - LCD XC:)

Just arrived today, keep running it all day long with my favorite Mozart, Bach and Rachmaninoff. I will give the XC a brief review as soon as it enters into its "honeymoon period" ^_^   A pity that my Northstar Dac32 and SPL Phonitor is not here in my current living city. I ordered a ZDSE...

    AKG K702 65th Anniv VS Hifiman HE400

I own the K702 and K702 65th, but have no HE400. I found the 65th is of relatively close sound stage and less transparancy than the normal edition, but of easier-to-drive characristic and larger dynamic range, which I believe is a "modern" style.      After all, the 65th is double the price...

    AKG K702 65th Anniv VS Hifiman HE400

AS an AKG big fan, I recommend the Hifiman HE400, just because the K702 65th is of to much "modern entertaining style" instead of a "classical neutrality".

The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread

Quote:     To some extent, the 65th edition sounds like more a "entertaining" headphone than a "classical" one. Especially in the fields of "big BASS" and "close soundstage"
