When I tested it, I used it with both my Mackie monitors at my desk, ADAM Audio monitors in my living room and my LCD-2C in both situations. It works really well in pre-amp mode and thankfully has a switch to change between pre-amp mode and headphone mode, so I don't have to turn off my monitors...

Todd, I wonder if placing a hold on a loaner's credit card while the unit is in their hands would be a better solution... If it gets stolen, the charge goes through... if not, the hold charge is dropped when the next person confirms they have received it.

I seriously wonder when Spotify is going to release their high-res streaming... it's been rumored for a long time and even had official emails go out for testing. Maybe Amazon launching one will hurry Spotify along...

You have to use a manual switch on the front to switch from pre-amp mode and headphone amp mode. Hope that helps.

It does have SE RCA inputs... It's a shame that they don't include balanced inputs for future dac upgrades that you'd want to run balanced cables for.

Is it still the case that all Audio-GD products with remote controls only do a single volume step per button press on the remote, or have they changed it so that you can press and hold the volume buttons on the remote and it continues to step the volume on the device? I've been considering...

I found out about FiiO shortly after I joined Head-Fi and I got a dac for my old Yamaha amplifier... I'm still rocking it today.

The Master, from what I have read, will have hand matched components on the PCB as well... So I am guessing they measure for differences in performance of caps, resisters, mosfets, etc and pair them with others that perform within a higher tolerance compared to the non-Master... IDK if there is...

One type of finishing I don't see terribly often is bead blasted finishes. But they look great.

I wish Spotify would come out with high res streaming. They have a great UI, Spotify Connect, family subscriptions, an enormous library of songs... they just need one more thing, high res streaming. The petition on Spotify's site for high res is over 4 years old and has garnered over 10,000...
