Sony MDR-R10 Owner's Club
So the stretchy material that holds the piece that meets with your head? Yea, not sure the material but you can probably find the MDR-CD3000 headbands as spare parts which used a very similar mechanism if I am not wrong. Those might still be hard to find but at least it is more likely and less...- kenman345

Vintage/Current R2R DAC Owners Discussion, Insight, and Review Thread
I am actually looking at it for a secondary DAC. I use a Metrum Musette for my main but I use my laptop for music and my desktop to game and I have a mixer combine the two signals together. I find the desktop audio is dirty, very easy to hear the problems and an external DAC fixes it so I was...- kenman345

You're thinking of the DIY board. The dac1101 is an actual product with the dac on a custom board that is in an enclosure and has a USB input.- kenman345

Happy as a Pig in Schiit: Introducing Modi Multibit
I might be late but I've been away for a while. Does anyone have a recommendation for a third party power supply for the Modi Uber and Multibit that is more power outlet friendly? I am interested in getting one of the units but, that's my only issue. The damn power supply. Sent from my iPhone...- kenman345

I had mine redone before I sold them. Had a leathersmith redo them but I'm in the US. Its not too hard to find deent shape CD850's or the other models that share the same headband and use them for spare parts.- kenman345

Help with simple sound card pick
Hello everyone, I am new to this sub-section of the Head-fi forums but I hope I am not pissing anyone off by starting a help thread. I am revising my setup a little and while I love my external DAC for serious listening, I just want a sound card to use with a small mizer I have to take...- kenman345

☯️ Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon... a $599 Cavalli amp???
Surprise!!! Power Cable now included. JK, I have no idea what it will be but considering how they have treated the first batch buyers I would imagine they would offer an upgrade program if there is enough change to warrant such a thing.- kenman345

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
This makes me happy I have not taken the plunge on the Ether C for my work setup. I use my DT1770's quite a lot and have been enjoying them and for low volume they still deliver some oomph which is nice while still sounding great.- kenman345

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
I would love to keep all great equipment but thats not very fiscally responsible of me to do. I know if I kept the Mojo, it would just sit a lot since I listen at home or at work and even my RWAK120ii doesnt get much play as I do not need a DAP ATM. But I know I will want that when I travel and...- kenman345

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
I used the mojo and then got a M9XX. To me, the difference in sound quality isnt that much, but I find the usability of the M9XX much better. More options to customize on the fly without having to go into my computer settings. I like that more because I am changing only things at the final stage...- kenman345

☯️ CAVALLI AUDIO ➜ Liquid Carbon Loyalty/Upgrade Discount
Just to be clear, the code never expires if we decide to wait for the newer amps to launch, right? I'd be willing to accept a partial value of the coupon for the spark, say, its only worth half the retail price of any item where $599 off represents more than 50% of the retail price. So a...- kenman345

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
I pre-ordered the Light Harmonic Revive figuring it would make me feel better to at least get the benefit of a purpose built unit that will make sure my USB power is clean before it hits the M9XX. I will report back once I get it and have tried it out for a bit. Should ship in 3 weeks time.- kenman345
