I now get sound out of both fine though when I plug it only half way into the amps jack not fully in. what the?

I can afford up to around $250-300. $350 is just a little too much darn :(.

My m-stage should be arriving soon :)! should I invest in a new DAC?  how is the STX's DAC compared to say an ibasso d4 or tubemagic? cheers.
