  I'm so glad you mention this as I was just about to purchase some SpinFits    In my experience with U12 for almost 2 months now, the type of tips used are very important as they really determine what kind of sound you get - I was using a large silicone which gave me quite a bassy, warm...

  Hmmm...could this also be the reason why 64 didn't ended up manufacturing the Ambient range perhaps?

Anything silver mate (or gold)   Avoid copper or silver plated copper as they will make it even warmer, I've tested with all 3, and silver is by far the best   I am using mine with Beat Audio Titan at the moment, I have Ted's silver balanced cable, and TWag coming my way hopefully next week

  How did you stretch the stem to make it fit U12's?    I'm looking at one now and startips stem is incredibly tiny and narrow

Find yourself a decent pure silver cable mate, it will take care of it - it adds some sparkle into the lower treble/upper mid, makes it sound much, much better   I am using Beat Titan at the moment, and am waiting for Ted's pure silver balanced cable.

  U6 is maybe what you are looking for, @Brooko has one I believed, and he mentioned to me before that it has a very close to flat FR

  I have the same feeling mate  it puts everything else I have to shame...the seperation and transparency, especially the midrange, is just breathtaking...   I am using a silver cable with mine (Beat Audio Titan), and the sound is one step better than the standard cable

  I used to be that too, until when I looked in the mirror, slapped myself, and told myself to be disciplined, then I went and properly tagged all my music (which was a lot of work since bloody stupid iTunes reorganised my folders), then, I found that I don't need to browse by folder anymore...

Guys - question for you guys who are using balanced out - I don't have any exposure yet so far in the world of balanced output, all of my IEM/phones have the standard 3.5mm single ended.   If I want to use the 2.5mm balanced output, do I have to get the proper cable, or is there any adapter...
