Just bought Grado SR 60i and can't believe what I have been missing all these years by using really bad headphones  Wonder how much the sound will become better after break in

K701 is out of my budget. I was looking for a quality entry level headphone(currently I am using some stupid hp headphones that came free with my laptop). Grado Sr60i and Alessandro ms1i attracted me because of very strong recommendations by audiophiles and their price.  

ok so under $100 which one should I get? 

I am asking this because I am about to order ms1i but while browsing through tons of threads I have found that a bigger sound stage will be better for listening to pink floyd style stuff. I listen to mostly 70s and 80s music (no hip hop / rap etc) and I love Pink Floyd and Queen the most. 

I am also looking for ms1i or grado sr60i which is costing me $129 in Edmonton Alberta. Considering your review, I think I should go with ms1i as they are more comparable to sr80i which are supposed to be slightly better than sr60i. How is the bass compared with sr60i (i know that...

I definitely listen to metal as well :) so a little harsh aint that bad

What do you suggest then? My budget is extremely limited as I am a student so can't spend much over cans right now. 

Actually I have recently moved to Canada so I only have my Laptop and sandisk mp3 player to listen music right now :)

What is the cheapest amp you can suggest? and any particular reason why you think ms1i are better?
