Great headphones. I consider them as an upgrade to Grado SR-60i - with smoothed treble and more bass (quantity). One gripe I have is that the pads are on-ear and I still have not found a suitable over-ear replacement. However, that's not a big problem.

IMO, they are a pretty well known and reputed computer hardware seller, especially among DIY PC builders. I have bought parts from them 3 times in last 1.5 years without any issues. Pcpartpicker.com lists them as one of the major vendors.

Yamaha HPH-200 (Pictures and review) [Updated]

      1) Replace S cush with G cush (some bass improvement and more comfortable) 2) Cut out the cloth type thing in front of the drivers (better treble) 3) Stick felt pads to the back of the drivers and around the inner of the cups (dampen the in-your-face sparkly treble but still keep them clear...

Yamaha HPH-200 (Pictures and review) [Updated]

I haven't heard Alessandro's but I have a few Grados - SR60i, SR225i and a modded SR60i.    Sound: Highs are not in your face like the Grados. They are clear but somewhat less 'sparkly'. I feel that you do get a lot more bass compared to SR60i and SR225i but not as much as the modded SR60i...

Yamaha HPH-200 (Pictures and review) [Updated]

I was thinking about taking off the velour pads and using double sided tape with Grado G cush. :/ Any idea what other replacement pads (for any headphone) are around the ear? Most I see are on-ear.

Yamaha HPH-200 (Pictures and review) [Updated]

I'm trying to find an around-the-ear earpad to replace the on-the-ear velour pads that come with HPH-200. Something like the Grado G cush. Does anyone have any recommendation? I tried the G cush but it simple does not fit.

Sub $100 IEM for Bass loving Grado fan

Just a follow up to the post...   I bought the Beyerdynamic DTX 101 IE and I'm impressed! It is almost what I was looking for, if not better. It does not have the Grado house sound but carries the same 'airy' feeling. The sound seems very wide and instruments are all over the place (good...

Thanks!   Any recommendation on where I can buy them from? They seem to be $100+ at most places including ebay. I'd prefer to buy from an authorized seller.

Sub $100 IEM for Bass loving Grado fan

This questions didnt get much love in the full sized can forum...     I'm more of a casual listener but I've been an avid fan of the Grado sound. I have in my collection: an SR60i, an SR225i and a modded SR60i (mesh cloth removed, punched 10 holes, felt mod). Of all combinations, I have...

How to scrutinize a used Grado SR225i

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this.   I've been using an SR60i for about 4 years. I had been thinking about upgrading and recently came across a used 225i. My question is how do I check if it is in good condition before buying.   Since I have access to the seller, I...
