Philips SHE9700.. improves as days go by?!!

I have had these philips headphones for 3 weeks with about 1.5 weeks of at playtime. The 9700 highs sounded distant and the highs and bass were nearly completely absent on first impression. I really wanted to like these headphones badly given their reviews here as an improvement over the 3580's...

Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???

I received my SHE3582 (blue version of the SHE3580's) in the mail today. The medium tips provided optimal fit and seal. The large tips seemed to secure the buds but too far up the ear canal, making the vocals sound distant. Immediate observations were that it takes a higher volume setting to...

Budget IEM for use with smartphone & laptop - under £20 (max £25)

Hi Jollyo,   I've recently put faith in our fellow reviewer members and placed an order for the Philips 3570 and the 9700 ($7 and $22usd respectively) on e-bay. The 3570 (& and newer 3580) have really impressed many at that price point and the 9700 (older out of production model) was a...

There's A New Quad Driver in Town...and it's from SONY!!!! aka [REVIEW] :)

I'm interested in these headphones and wonder if these require some sort of amplification to really ease into the sweet spot.   Within the price range, I considered the Westone 3 but heard the problems regarding fitment since these are larger than the Westone 1 & 2's.

OVER-PERFORMING, OVER-ACHIEVING Headphones/IEMs for their price range. Top cost effective cans/IEMS

*agreed. Im a fan of the ety HF5's. Mine were lost and i have been missing them ever since.   Currently using Sony MDR-EX310 ($75) which have grown to love after the break-in period. Much more fuller bass but not the same clarity offered in the HF5s. Perfectly fine for commuting and came...

Shure E4C - Reviews, Opinions & Ramblings Thread

I received my e4c's last week and have been using them on and off over the weekend. about 5 hours accumulatively. Another 4 hours thus far on the commute to and from work. Have to say the high and midrange is adequate and clear. The lows are ok. Definitely arent in the same ballpark with my...
