I've got the Beyerdynamic DT770 LE and love them. They do benefit by an amp, and burn in. You might like the Beyerdynamic COP as they're a little more "bassy" for a like of a better term

Well, after a lot, and I mean, a lot of reading, I decided to go with the Beyerdynamics DT770 LE 32ohm and Fiio E17 amp/dac   I feel this is a good starting point for me, I'll update with a review

So what are you looking at instead? I've never been a style whore but the momentums are pretty. But like I said,I'm concerned about cup size, and the sound seems to be, from the reviews, really good at a lot of things without excelling anywhere. Dt770s are looking very good, as are the akg's...

Heheh, never really gave my ear size much thought I think I'm on the fringes of what will fit that's why I'd love to try these first
