Reply to review by 'florent' on item 'VSonic GR06 Pro Dynamic Noise Isolation Earphones Earbuds'
Compared to my Audeo's Comply tips, the Vsonic ones are too stiff and have no memory, making them harder to insert, and they don't fully seal my ear nor stay in place. I may try your solution and put the foam inside silicone tips for fun :)- florent

Review by 'florent' on item 'VSonic GR06 Pro Dynamic Noise Isolation Earphones Earbuds'
This is my first review, but I tried to give a review based on feeling rather than comparison with other IEMs. I may be asking too much for a ~ 50$ earphones, but as my first pair of in-ears, and coming from headphones like Hd650 and sr80i's, I expected much more after having read some raving...- florent

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G
I received it this morning. I ordered it on Feb 23th, so it took 1 month and a few days, sent from Germany to Paris. I think 1 month is fairly honest for such a small business and a hand-made device. I'll try to put words on what I hear later (never done that before). I'll be comparing...- florent

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G
You don't have to worry about headphonia vs heastage. Simple whois at http://www.tucowsdomains.com/whois shows that both are owned by Robert. headphonia.com was registered on June 22th 2006, and headstage.com on March 27th 2007. I guess he created headstage to have more visibility, given the...- florent

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G
Thanks for the information, but... I just received an email from Robert stating that my amp would be shipped from Germany 2 weeks from now! That's very good news for me, and I hope that everyone will get his amp soon! And darthcodeman, you were right about the power circuitry: the battery stops...- florent

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G
Quote: I decided to test drive his responsiveness to emails yesterday :) If anyone can answer them, here are my questions: 1/ Is the amp shipped from Germany, or from the US? This make a big difference to me as I live in France, and shipping from Germany would avoid custom taxes...- florent

@clabbe thanks! I think that their is quite a full stack of amps to be shipped before mine, so I won't expect to get it before 1 or 2 months. Let's hope that the 9-month-wait time is gone!- florent

Quote: I pulled the trigger after I read this. To those who received theirs, do you recall the different steps in the processing of your order? Mine went from "Pending" to "Order processing" during the same day, but what's next? I guess this could help during the wait :)- florent

DT 770
Just wanted to state that the DT 770 Edition are now discontinued by Beyer. I just go a confirmation via Facebook, and the T70 are their official successor : http://www.facebook.com/beyerdynamic/posts/10150339418451758 "Hi Florent, your salesman is correct: the DT 700 premium (or as we...- florent

Best Closed Can under $800
Even the W1000X is light, my problem was that as the drivers can't rotate on an horizontal axis, the top of the pads were not touching my head/ears, so it was kind of weird. I need closed cans for the office, and can't disturb others with my music, so I was worrying about this.- florent

Best Closed Can under $800
Thanks for the T70 feedback. It's quite a shame they can't do something awesome in the full-size closed headphones category with their Tesla technology. I read very contrasted reviews about the T70/T70p/T5p cans. About the A2000X, I'm worried about the fit, they seem to have the exact same...- florent

Best Closed Can under $800
Hi, I'd like to revive this thread because there should be new worthly entries since 2008. So, what's your sub 800 favorite pair? I need one and am hesitating between beyer t70 and sony z1000. I couldn't try the Beyer's, and found the Sony's very nice. Balanced, detailed, extended...- florent

beyer t70 & t70p NEW!
I think that this label is missleading. I've heard bass I could qualify as well extended and with good texture. It's quite present but not overwhelming. The cans are very well balanced in my opinion. Now, take it with a grain of salt as I'm a noob :) Quote:- florent

beyer t70 & t70p NEW!
I've been at my local store and guy told me that Beyer would not produce the DT770 anymore. If true, then the T70 would be a replacement for it. Can anyone confirm this? I do not fully trust him, but Beyer's website now only show 770 M and Pro versions. Also, can anyone compare the bass...- florent

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Hi, I desperately need a good pair of closed headphones for the office. Since I live in France, it's very hard to find where to try some of them. I mainly listen to metal (from heavy to prog to black/death) and prog rock, but I find myself loving to listen to good jazz and classical. ...- florent
