HIFIMAN ANANDA-BT Loaner Tour
Hello, I'd like to try the headphones. I live in Richmond, VA. I currently have the Monoprice m1060 and the Fostex T40RP mk3, I would love to try premium planars. I have a few DACs and nice amps to test it with. As well as the LG G8, known for high quality audio playback.- sman789

Fostex Mods for T20/40/50/(60) RP series Mk3
You can play with the stock cups with many different mods, all with materials totaling less than $20 US. I'd play with that in the beginning, you may find something you really like. I have some dampening clay, cotton and felt on my T40s and I'm quite happy. ----------- On to my pads. I mounted...- sman789

Place the pin with the yoke's inside hugging your worktable edge. Now go to town on the yoke. Two or three big hits should do it.- sman789

There is a second groove for the clips. I actually had 6 not 8. Each side had two on a pin, then one on the other. LOL, the guy in the video mention the clips didn't fly across the room. My first one I popped off, it's MIA.- sman789

The open m1060 are basically the same but with a another set eclips right inside the yoke. You're going to have to use some force. My left side had some clear gaps between yoke and the outside of the pin. I was able to use a thin spudger to get them out. My right side were basically painted or...- sman789

On removing the clips to remove the yoke. Do you lift them up and out with pressure? I saw you used wooden tweezers for that, earlier in this thread.- sman789

Is it simple to get the HiFiMan band on? Just removed the old one and redrill the holes bit larger? I have a set of the m1060 v2 modded to my liking but still with the stock headband. Grills, thinner felt, fuzzors, different pads.- sman789

Fostex new RP headphones - T50RPmk3, T40RPmk3 and T20RPmk3
I'm using the massive pads from my m1060. They're comfortable and thick, there's a lot of space between the ear canal and driver, calming down the treble a bit.- sman789

[Review] Philips SHL3300 "DJ" Headphones - Most Underrated Headphone?
Thanks for posting this guide. My cable has actually broken open in 4 separate spots lol but they're still working fine. I'm going to open them up and do the removable cable mod.- sman789

JVC HA-RX700 Mods
Thanks for posting that. I've neglected my RX700s for a few years now. They were my first set of good cans. Been using the M1060, SHP9500 and T40RP for a good long bit. Just threw on the JVCs (I already had the angled pads on them), they're so much fun to listen to. Planning to do the cable mod...- sman789

At home, PC with M-AudioTransit Pro DAC connected to a Matrix M-Stage HPA-1 headphone amp. If I'm in an office and not using earbuds, a DX80 connected to a Topping NX-1.- sman789

Samsung S8 / S8+ Sound Quality
I've been using the IconX for more than 4 months now. I really enjoy them but 99% of the time I'm using them it's for youtube/podcasts. If I'm listening to music, I always use my cans/iems. With that, music still sounds really good for what they are. A bit bassy and narrow soundstage but that's...- sman789

Testing out some cheap pads from the bay. Does everyone keep on the thin driver felt cover when pad rolling? I took it off. I also bought some adhesive felt. Will try rear fuzzors next. Edit: went ahead and tried front fuzzors first. Reiterating what others have said. More powered needed...- sman789

A lot of people won't require mods to enjoy the sound. You could get a set from Monoprice and return them if you don't like them off the bat. A free mod is to remove the foam cover the outside of the driver. You can see the it's thick/dense from my pictures earlier. Another simple mod is the...- sman789

I was able to test the Sundara on loan, check out what I and others have said about it here - HiFiMan Sundara Loaner Program! About two weeks later I got the M1060 and there is a noticeable veil on the Sundara when compared to my T40RP and M1060. They still sound great though, less harsh on...- sman789

I seem to get the sorting bug when playing a folder. I have albums in separate folders with file names sorting the tracks in order. 1, 2, and so on. If the unit auto powers off, tracks are played out of order.- sman789

Ordered the headphones and some 3D printed covers and they both arrived today! I had some thin foam inserts that came with a pair of headphone pads and they were the perfect diameter to replace that thick foam. Any recommendations for a longer cable that terminates in a 1/4"?- sman789

HIFIMAN Sundara A Layman’s Review Thanks to Todd for loaning the headphones to me.
