I would like to know the same thing even though, I think I am leaning towards the FA-22.

I have a Marantz SACD Ruby connected to a Monoprice THX 887. Headphones are HD800 SE. I might give the amp to my son and that is why I am looking for a new amp. Possibly the FLUX FA-22 but not sure yet. Also, possibly getting the HEDDphone.

tubes!!!!! Had the same problem months ago and by replacing the tubes, the problem went away. I recommend to get a cheap pair of tubes and give it a try. I am sure the problem will disappear. Good luck. Melos is an excellent piece of machinery - when it works!

IMHO any grado headphones will be probably the best pair you can get. starting from the sr-60 up to what your wallet allows you. you can also find them cheaper/used on ebay. happy listening!
