Hey mgtitans17, you don't need a massive amp to power bookshelf speakers, even with an 8 ohm impedence. A cheap T-amp should do the job. The Tripath TIO card I use is basically a T-amp type chip on a PCI card. I don't know if these are still available or where to get them, but they shouldn't...

Is this Sennheiser connector a hard extension adaptor or a flexible cable sort of adaptor like the Grado adaptor (sorry for being so vague)? I'm asking because a hard extension that may result in an elongated plug that might cause extra stress on the plug tip.

I think Coco Lee is ok and probably one of the more talented artists in the China region. I've noticed that a lot of the asian popstars (mostly the movie stars that try to sing) sound horrible and their pitch is off, but I don't complain cause they are attractive .

Ok, I think the problem is with the cable because the sound comes on and off depending if I push or tug on the cable a certain way. I guess ill buy the HD 650 cable as a replacement and consider a $200 cable upgrade in the future when my source is better and I get an amp. Thanks for everyone's help.
