If you don't care about looks, then you should check out the Sennheiser HD 280 as well. I would probably suggest the V6 though for public use. But for LAN's the HD 280's will keep out ALL the noise, and many (including me) think they sound great.

Yeah, I am mostly in agreement with you guys. AROBTTH has some really great songs on it, but some bad ones as well. Parachutes has generally good songs throughout, but its great songs are not as great as some of the songs in AROBTTH.

I own the M3Ti's as well, and think they are great. I would definitely suggest putting them towards the top of your list. You might also look into PSB, and NHT monitors. You should check out Yawa Online, as they sell both PSB and NHT speakers at great prices.

Good luck. I have been practicing for the LSAT's lately, and I'm sort of nervous for the test in October. The LSAT is what we take here in the states when we want to go to law school. I assume your a2 is the UK equivalent.

So Zanth, do you find there is plenty of scholarship funding available to future Law School students as well? That's the predicament I'm in right now. I have had full ride to undergrad, and I don't want to have to pay for law school either.

My meta42 is plenty strong enough to power my HD600's. Since you are using a computer as your source, you probably don't want to go too much higher in quality or spending than that, as your source will be the limiting factor in the chain.

I love the HD 280. They are perfect for classical, if you need a closed phone as well. Great detail, great isolation. I highly recommend them.
