    Hmm.. yes, i had considered those as well. I don't really want to have an amp to drive them, as i will use them for DJing in clubs and stuff. would a 150mw headphone out be sufficient?

    well, enough topic digressing. the store i got my HD280pros from finally got back to me, and they will give me an RMA and let me return the cans. I am fairly sure i want to return them and get the Sony V6 or 7506 now instead. apparently the only differnece between the two is a gold plated...

    I never said they were ugly. in fact i rather like the look of them. and they DO sound better after burn in, but not LOADS better. not even better than the cans i already have, which are 1/4 the price. the bass is still too rolled off, and the treble too bright, even after 100 hours of burn...

    well, i am a basshead as well, so maybe the V6s are for me. there is also the beyer DTT770, which is supposed to be a kick ass headphone for bass as well.

    Yep, i have had some crappy cans. various sony walkman ones, some crap earplugs, and some koss folding ones that were actually pretty good. Right now, i have am using some radioshack ones, Optimus NOVA 403s, and i still really like them! check out this thread...
