Replacement Driver for Denon D7000 / how to fix driver?

I just got a pair of D7000 used from my brother, but I'm finding the left driver buzzes on the low notes.  I have taken the driver from the cup, head piece and it still buzzes, so I don't think there is a dampening problem.   Is it possible to get a replacement driver?  How much would that...

    Headroom BUDA/UDAC vs Violectric V181/V800

I currently have the BUDA/UDAC now but am looking for other options.  Has anyone heard both of these?  I am reading good things about the Violectric V181/V800.  I am listening balanced with HD800, LA7000, and will be picking up a pair of LCD-2s.

    Springs For Connectors

I have a pair of LA7000's and I want to re-terminate them with xlr's.  The cable currently has heat shrink and a spring as well as a single 1/4" connector.  I have the other parts, but am not sure where to get some nice springs like this one.  Any ideas? Thanks, bbc

How to Rewire Denon D7000 with Cardas Balanced?

Am I crazy for thinking of doing this.  I just got the BUDA and UDAC, and the cardas cable that works with the Senn HD650s.  I like the D7000 much more and would like to make that balanced.  Should I just send it in or use the cardas balanced cable that the Senn's have?   Has anyone done...

    Amp/Dac recommendation/questions?

I have been hearing a lot about "balanced" stuff, and am considering going to the next step.  I have a pair of HD650s, and just purchased a pair of Denon D7000.  Here are my questions.   Is it possible to upgrade my Denon's to some XLR/balanced cables? What more needs to happen for them to...

Wav earplugs wrapped around my Super fi. 5 pro

Okay, I am trying to tide myself til the E500's come out and I can get a custom earpiece to attach. Last night I went nuts with the stock attachments that come with the Super fi 5 pros. I took my wax earplus and fit them around the stem and shaped them to my ear. Wow, total isolation, custom...

    How long do UE-10s last

Okay I am almost ready to just bag the E500 cause I need something now. But the 1 year warranty on the UE-10s kinda sucks. I mean I am paying $1k for custom canal phones, shouldn't they cover it for more? My wife summed it up in saying, "If the warranty is for 1 year, that means they expect...

Upgrading to UE-10s from Senn 650 & UE Super fi 5 pro, worth it?

Okay, I love my Senn 650s. They are fantastic. But, I currently live in the noisiest place in the world - a college campus. I bought the UE Super fi. 5 pro thinking it would be as good as the 650s. I have found it lacking and not quite up to par with the 650s. Don't get me wrong, they are a big...

headphone maintanance and replacement ear pads

Okay lets get to the point. My ear pieces are starting to fill up with dead skin, etc (sorry to be graphic ), and I began to think, how does one clean these out. They are velvet, and it seams that anything and everything seams to cling to them. How does one clean out the ear pieces on the...

Will an amp really make a difference?

Yes, I am quite ignorant, please forgive me. I have a pair of Senn 650's, and have absolutely loved them. I listen to everything on my PC at home, or my laptop and PC at work. At home I have a Layla 3G souund card (http://www.echoaudio.com/Products/PCI/Layla3G/index.php), and it makes the cans...

Case for Senn HD 650's ...?

I am looking for a good carrying case for my Senns. I just got them and love them, but I would like something to carry them into work etc. I am currently using the box that came with them, but man, that thing is huge. Are there any compact (enough) carrying cases for these? --BackBayChef...

Will gaming with my Senn HD 650 damage them?...

Okay, perhaps an odd question. I just got these babies. I use them in sound editing, and general use. But I am wondering I am gaming if they could be damaged, and if I should get some simple gaming headphones. I am using them with my Layla 3G sound card. Any advice would be great...
