AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
Well, I may eat my words. Having used IEMs primarily for last few years (I know, shame) I forgot how important seal is. Took off my glasses and I have bass haha. Still definitely heard more texture on the HD600 [wearing glasses for both], similar to that darko quote, "The top shelf Sennheisers...- TheReds

AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
Anyone think I'm crazy regarding my bass comments about the NO? I'm continuing to listen to music and all sounds good but found it surprising I heard and felt the bass more on the HD600s. Also not yet playing around with sources, trying to stay consistent as I learn the new cans. Using a HiBy R3...- TheReds

AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
I heard nothing from coworkers as they tried them out. They weren't playing that loud though, and we also have an open office with ambient noise so that might have masked any leakage. Will try some more and ask someone to try and listen for any while I play at an "in the zone" sound level.- TheReds

AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
Alrighty, got my NOs in and fit, finish, immediate impressions are very favorable. I brought them to work today to listen more and test with a coworker who has a ifi nano (non-bl) + HD600 setup. We did some comparisons, and is it crazy for me to think the HD600s had more noticeable bass than my...- TheReds

AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk
Greetings, just won an eBay auction for the NOs and excited to try them out. Wanted to upgrade my setup at work (open office) and was going to back the Massdrop x Meze 99 Noirs but won the the NOs for $50 more and get them much sooner than April 2019! Sounds like I may want to change out the...- TheReds

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
To echo others who have backed many crowd funding projects and group buys (both forum and massdrop), this has been and will continue to be a very good campaign. Shortest turn around time for me personally, from "backing" to week of shipping. Thank you HiBy!- TheReds

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
Hahah, well done! Still a little confused by some of the Comet canjam first impressions here and on /r/headphones. Seemed like what people listened to then versus owning or most of us receiving now were two completely different IEMs? Some said that the foams at canjam might have been to blame...- TheReds

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
I may join this train after being out of the DAP game since the iAudio X5! **Edit** I'm on the train and added some for the leather case (HK $ 1,607 if anyone else needs to know the correct amount for R3 early bird + slip case)- TheReds

post your grado mods....
I definitely want to respect that they are originals, so things like leather headband (rholuplat/turbulent), cushions (dyed senns/flats), were on top of my list. I figured cables might be fun if we all had a clear bang for your buck upgrade. But ya, maybe I'll just get them back together first...- TheReds

post your grado mods....
Greetings, I have a pair of HF-1's that I haven't used in years ever since the cups came undone (I guess the glue gave out). Kept thinking I would take the opportunity for some mods, but life kept...happening...so here I am. I don't want to spend a lot (headphile), am partial to anything DIY...- TheReds

New CEntrance DACportable dac-amp
Ya, I wonder if it could be something that a firmware update could add in the future if enough people ask about it? My coworker, and myself, saw it as a perfect laptop bag dac: great for commuting/traveling/OOO with mobile phone or laptop, and great for nondescript [bring-your-own-dac] use at...- TheReds

New CEntrance DACportable dac-amp
My coworker just got the portable after I convinced him by listening to my slim. He just got it in over the weekend, and I was wondering how people have it set up when listening from their laptop? I know the charging port is purely power for the battery, but does the data port truly not let any...- TheReds

Review: CEntrance DACport Slim DAC/Amp Combo
Just to confirm, these are drivers you guys are talking about not firmware correct? I'm on Linux, so a driver isn't needed, however if we're talking about firmware updates that CEntrance is releasing for bug fixes, improvements, etc to the SlimHD itself then I need to stay on top of it more!- TheReds

Review: CEntrance DACport Slim DAC/Amp Combo
Hey @mayorblurps, I have a Nexus 5X, and just joined the drop. Mainly using the Slim with my laptop setup at work, but curious if I'd be able to get away with powering it straight from the phone without any type of splitter/hub/powerbank business? In your review, were you powering straight...- TheReds

@LuckyNat you mention, "I spoke to them at the Prestige Show a few weeks ago and it sounds like they've developed the technology further in terms of the internal design of the housing, driver and also cable options." Flare Audio R2PRO Kickstarter campaign
I haven't had any cable or balance issues myself on the R2A's, but couldn't help myself email Naomi (from Kickstarter), Facebook message, and send a tweet at them about these cable issues, lack of communication, delayed support, and no indication of further development/improvement. Hopefully...- TheReds

More so I bought her a pair because she loves music and I enjoy sharing the bliss of hifi/head-fi goodness. I'll always remember the first time I listened to a nice pair of headphones! Got my 2xR2A package yesterday (Texas). Super pumped as I've had a pair of NuForce NE-7M's since 2009 haha. Don't have much comparative analysis to share, but I will say that they sound fantastic, and I'm happy my laptop and cellphone can drive them given everyone saying they take some juice...- TheReds
