I don't have much experience with the UE's, but the Shure SE530's were a decent improvement over the Ety ER4P. Well, decent in that they had more bass, but the clarity/treble of the Ety's were still better. Have you tried setting up an EQ for your source? I know it's not the most ideal way...

Seriously, when are these coming out. I've been dying for a pair of mid-range IEM's to pair with my iPhone. The damn connector thing for the 1G iPhone is bugging the heck outta me. I'm ready to buy a pair of HF2's if these don't come out soon.

yup, all nitpickings aside, my HD580's sound really good straight out of the soundcard. They sound even better with an amplifier and it's hard to go down when you know the headphone's potential (slightly more dynamic, bass extension, etc.)

Well, just to chime in, I felt that the SR60's had no improvements with the Fixup Mini. I was listening critically for a couple minutes (not that long, I know), but decided almost immediately that the differences, if there were any, to be too miniscule to care for.
