would you wear the sennheiser hd497's in public?
497's look terrible from the front or back, but from a side or 3/4 view they look okay. The problem is not really the size, it's the colour and the way that the headband actually sticks out from the side of the head rather than hugging it all the way around like most headphones do.- odaen

Has anybody tried to remove the Sennheiser logo from the headband of the hd650s?
Are you aware that removing the Sennheiser logo reduces the bass and increases the 'veil' on those headphones? It seriously affects the sound quality.- odaen

New Headphones for Me?
I've heard good things about the new Sony Qualia earbuds, same price as ER-4P but the reviews say they have amazing bass. Not telling you to buy them, just telling you to check them out.- odaen

Black Zen Micro (just ordered)
Yeah, appreciate the easy to use standby button. Let's say you need to speak someone, just reach into your pocket and find the button hold it for a few seconds and it pauses your song and puts it into standby. Hold it again to resume, you don't even need to take it out of your pocket! If you...- odaen

ZEN MICRO OWNERS- What Case Do you Use?
I definetly recommend the mint case. It's so practical. You don't ever have to mess around with the hold button again. It's inconspicuous, and best of all it stops you sitting on it.- odaen

UK Metro
Did anyone read that article in the Metro today about 'Hi-Fi Headphones" They recommended the Sennheiser 555, Beyer Dynamic XT 880, Bose TriCrap, and some random Sony as well as MoS 1003. Maybe I should send them a clue in the way of a link to head-fi. ;p- odaen

headphone sightings?
I saw a pair of Shure e2cs 2 days ago on the Metro. I saw a pair of black Ex-71s in the cafe. I saw a pair of white Ex-71s on the way to the cafe. And numerous white ipod buds. Thankfully they are all starting to break and the numbers are thinning.- odaen

hd 497s
I actually just bought the HD 497s about a week ago. First pair of 'audiophile headpones' and I'm impressed. They just sound so damn clean. Before listening to my Zen Micro>Ex-71s everything seemed to be totally muddy, but these are so damn easy to listen too. I havn't burned them in yet...- odaen

My new $7 headphone beats my Sennheiser 212Pro silly.
What actually makes expensive headphones expensive by the way? Is it the materials they are made out of? The amount of man-hours spent engineering them or just how good the componants inside are rated (like CPUs).- odaen

Do white headphone/iPod muggings still go on?
My few pence with regards to mugging. Know exactly where your going. Don't dawdle about. Walk fast, muggers work on the element of surprise. If they can't go faster without breaking into a run, they're not going to bother. Don't fiddle around looking for a track to play. Set your D.A.P...- odaen

Developmentally Disabled Adult- Controlling Headphone Volume
Try importing a music player from the Uk. Quite a lot of them have volume caps on so that they comply with EU regulation. This combined with a pair of low volume headphones would work. Edit: That post above was posted before I started typing btw.- odaen

Headphones Played in Ipod
Everyone I know who has an ipod, when I plugged my Sony's into them, they created this unbearable noise. It was almost as if my ears were being plugged into the mains supply. Strangely my Zen doesn't make this noise. Anyway, I later realized it was just the crap music that was on it.- odaen

Poll: Which mini HDD is the best?
When I first heard the Zen Micro, I thought the signiture was the akin to that on my SBLive! Platinum. Slightly darker than that of the iPod. Granted for things like Jazz, the Zen's bass although more present than the iPod's seems to be slightly bloated. That said listening to cheerful jazz...- odaen
