    well this morning I went to a shop close to my house that just happened to have the rp-21s. I tried them out on my ipod, liked them, and bought them. when I brought them home I tried them out on my macbook pro. WOW, these things are incredible. my music sounds so much better, so much more...

    thanks for the responses guys. I looked at the rp-21s, they actually look really nice; I read the review of them here on headfi. plus they only cost $99 from amazon. the dt660s unfortunately are a bit out of my price range. I was only about to find them for about $170 on pricegrabber.com.

    bah.. that's what I was afraid of, that closed headphones would sound a lot worse than open ones like grados. maybe I'll just end up getting the sr60's and deal with loud people around me... at least when it's quiet I'll be a lot happier than I would be otherwise
