hey, don't be bad mouthing disco. I have to admit that today's "rock" sucks: it's so bland and trite.

The reason people on this board find the V600 worse than the V6 is because the former bloats up the bass and treble for DJ's while the latter needs to keep all frequencies stable for studio monitoring. I think; 'm not sure.

To James, hey the sender sent it back and I found it too much trouble to sell it again. Besides, it's my only PCDP.

I was just listening to it (unamped), and the bass knocks on my head so much that I get a headache after listening for 5 min. Headphone out. Usual? And no, I've made sure that Bass boost is not on. No equalizer settings used.

Grado SR-80 : Great value, doesn't need amp, sharp clarity (ok I haven't heard the higher end models nor Senns), very aggressive for rock, soundstage is kinda weird

well, ok. They feel all plastic. This is only the lower model netMD: 505 and 707. The store didn't have the N1 on display, likely 'cause it's so expensive.
