xluben's Shure SE215 Photos and Review (vs. Shure e2c)
2 years later, but I figured I would follow up on this. I still have the Shure SE215's and I still use them regularly. I'm very happy with them and they have yet to let me down. I played around with the ear tips and eventually settled on the smallest size of the flex type ear tips. Normally...- xluben

xluben's FiiO E11 and PA2V2 Photos and Review
I meant this to be a review, but I really haven't gotten around to it yet. I just got the PA2V2 back, so I'm going to listen a bit more and then write up my thoughts. So far I'd have to say I prefer the PA2V2 overall, but they both have pluses and minuses. In terms of sound signature and...- xluben

xluben's FiiO E11 and PA2V2 Photos and Review
I just got a FiiO E11 and also dusted off my PA2V2 (that I got nearly 9 years ago!). I decided to take some photos, and I will post some more thoughts and comparisons once I have done a bit more listening on both. First here are some photos of the FiiO E11. I got the package on Amazon...- xluben

xluben's Shure SE215 Photos and Review (vs. Shure e2c)
After many years of owning the Shure e2c, I finally decided to get some new earphones. I ended up getting a pair of Shure SE215's. They were used (found on the forum), but in great shape and a great price. They just arrived today. For now here are the photos. I will follow up with initial...- xluben

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm's Just Arrived!
After a couple weeks with these headphones, I still really like them. They are nice and comfortable, and they sound very good. I use them mainly for listening to music from my computer through the Marantz receiver, or for playing video games (also through the Marantz receiver). I think they...- xluben

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm's Just Arrived!
I got some Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm headhpones today! They were a gift from my brother (he has a pair). I have wanted these headphones for quite some time. I really like how comfortable they are, and I think they sound great. He got them "refurbished" off eBay (not from Beyer...- xluben

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
Quote: Thanks. A lot of really good comments in there about the mod. Some make it sound like it is exactly what I want. But there are a handful of comments about it making the highs more shrill and the lows less prominent. Exactly the opposite of what I'd want. I'm still on the fence...- xluben

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
Quote: Thank you for the comments. Do you have a link to the Kramer Mod? I believe that just involves pulling out the little disc at the tip of the earpiece. It was my understanding that this would bring forward the mids/highs a bit more. I never did the mod because I hate harsh highs...- xluben

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
I posted this in a separate thread, but it was suggested that I post it in here and see if I get a better response: Quote: I really have no experience with most of the newer, low end stuff that is being mentioned in this thread. Most of the models and brands I see in the...- xluben

Shure SE215 vs. Shure e2
I currently have the Shure e2's. I've had them for several years. They're still in very good shape and are used occasionally for working out and other general use. Before these I went through a handful of earbuds $100 and under as well as both the UE 5Pro and UE 5EB. I also had some of the lower...- xluben

Skullcandy Titan Initial Impressions
My wife was in the market for some new in ear headphones. She wanted something cheap, small, comfortable and fun to listen to. NOT a critical listener. Everything is listened off of her iPod Nano. Often it is audiobooks and TV shows as much as music. In the past she has been happy with...- xluben

how does Shure's E2C compare to Westone's UM1?
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm wondering the same thing. After going through MANY (high end) earbuds during college, I finally sold them all off and kept only my Shure e2's. I use them mainly for jogging, working out, etc. So far I've been very satisfied with them. In the last...- xluben

cheap 6.5" driver w/good bass (IB)
good points! i already have a pair of pioneer rev coaxials in my front doors (link), so these would only be doing the last few octaves. right now i'm thinking about 120Hz and down, but i'd play with it once i got them. i think i'm kinda set on not getting the mach5's or dayton classics... -
cheap 6.5" driver w/good bass (IB)
anyone know of a 6.5" driver with good bass response? only catch is that it has to be cheap ($50 shipped for a pair would be nice) these are going in the rear deck of my car to handle bass duty (no subs). i know this is the wrong place to ask, but i'm not a member on any good DIY...- xluben
