Yes, speaker stands are required to fully hear the Minis potential..Perhaps isolating them with spikes might work as well..

+1   The aktimate mini does sound very much better than the a5! but when i tested it, it was a bit biased as the minis was placed on speaker stands and the AE5 was on the desk. I ended up with the minis and I am very happy with them! :D   Quote:

The Energy ESW-C8 8-Inch looks good and fits ur budget. Energy is owned by klipsch and should be a good sub for the A5. Better to test it out before buying though. :)

Hello guys! I've been following this thread for quite a while and decided to take the plunge! I bought the SP and waiting for it to arrive. I am currently using UE Metrofi 220. Will I be pleasently suprise with the sound quality of these iem? Really excited and I cant wait to get my hands on...
