  How does the W1000X's treble compare to the DT880's? I really enjoyed the sound sig of the DT880's when I listened to them, especially in the upper regions, but for isolation purposes open/semi open headphones don't really work for me.

The DT880's are more neutral where the the DT990's have a more V-shaped sound signature.

By 600 I mean the 600 ohms version of the DT990's.

No problem, V-moda also sells larger ear pads for the M100's if they don't fit you correctly.

For pop/kpop the M100's will sound much more exciting, with a bigger and harder hitting bass response,  and if you have smaller ears, probably more comfortable.    I personally preferred the M80's when I had both, but for Pop the M100's would be a better choice IMO.

Agreed, I don't understand why manufacturers spend so much R&D on aesthetics, and then have something that looks like an alien communicator when it's placed on the head. 

Those pads look just like the kind Turtle Beach uses on their headsets, and those don't even begin to seal properly. I hope the insides of the pads are drastically different.
