I have the Audio-GD Compass 2, which is about the same power wise. I don't really need an upgrade but the marantz is shiny and would match my stereo setup, PM15s2 etc.

Thanks, the LED job was super easy. It turns out that pinball machine lamp to LED replacements are the perfect fit/ spec for this amp, nice and cheap too.

Absolutely silent, black or whatever word you want to use. Please remember Cyrus are a very well respected brand, who build a quality product. I let you don't like it you will get your money back by selling it.

I can personally recommend as used Cyrus 1/2/3 integrated. Very reasonable on the used market, small form factor and excellent sounding. I have owned the 1 and currently own the 3. Very good amps for driving the HE500.

  Nice, try and pick up the alternative DAC modules with your order too, well worth the cash.

I'm on my mobile so I can't give you a detailed rundown but I owned the matrix and then upgraded to the compass 2 when I had the HE400. I now own the HE500 and the C2, while the matrix is a fine amp, the compass 2 is in a different class, especially when it comes to orthos.

I I have two Forza Audioworks cables and they are excellent, one TRS and one for speaker taps.

I have had my DX50 for a couple of weeks now (it was purchased used) and its a great little device other than the freezing.  It randomly freezes and requires a hard reset.  There appears to be no rhyme nor reason to the resets.  Has anyone had the same experience and can offer some advice?  ...

It works out significantly more costly. $899 from the USA, $1240 from Europe and $1540 in the UK..........
