Can it do USB audio out? I would get the Xperia Z in a heartbeat over Galaxy S3 if it can.. The Z has some pretty good specs (minus the DAC)

Does anyone know the DAC used in the latest Xperia phones?   I'm interested in the Xperia Acro S   I see that it has USB tethering....so will it also allow bypass of the internal DAC with an external one?     Anyone compared these newer Xperia phones with the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 or...

If you get it on Ebay for a good price, it's worth it but this is a very basic amp....don't expect it to drive difficult cans or perform miracles   It sounds on par with my old MSeedLabs Faith amp, but with much less power

If they could possibly implement the P4 amp section with a switchable USB to battery power (external or internal pack) it would be even better.   The USB-powered amp section is limited by voltage....which would also limit portability if you wanted to use it as just an amp without the PC  ...

Maybe the SR71b has higher mW per channel at those particular impedances? The PB2 max output is rated at 32ohms. Just a guess, but it might have less output at the higher impedances of LCD2 or HD800. Maybe the SR71b is more adaptive into increased load? I am not an amp builder so my knowledge is...

PB2 has higher wattage than SR71b....not by much but it is higher   PB2 is the strongest portable amp IIRC...  

Thanks for confirming. That was the debate I had between getting it vs. the D6 or DB2   It would be a waste to have those Wolfson DAC options on the XM6 if it didn't upsample!   USB input is limited to 24/96 on the Ibasso DACs.....so it might be the same on the XM6 Quote:

I'm having the same debate right now since I need a new amp & DAC...     The big question is does the XM6 upsample/convert the 16 bit USB input to 24/96, etc.?? I'm pretty sure the D6 does but I would rather get the XM6 since it has more power, DAC choices, etc.   Anyone know??
