QQ/Complain thread. Complain about anything!!!
Complaint: I'm Portuguese, currently in Spain and I'm supposed to be moving blindly with a friend to the Netherlands next week. And I've just realized I lost my Identity Card... This won't end up well... PS: And I'm pretty darn scared. Not sure what to expect. Never been in the...- SARodrigues

Sennheiser HD238: Brief Review and Modding
Sorry to dig up a very old thread, but I think there is no point in opening a new one since my question is directly related to this one. I've recently bought these headphones and tried the aluminium only, aluminium + center foam, aluminium + cotton pads, aluminium + cardboard and also...- SARodrigues

Post your computer specs!~
Not just you. Since I started travelling frequently between countries a few years ago, I only use laptops due to their ease of mobility. It pissed me off at first, but soon after my desktop died I never looked back. Almost everything portable now: Laptop, 2.5" external hard drives, USB tvtuners...- SARodrigues

Laptop battery?
As sizzlincok pointed out, this is really a grey area, opinions differ and you will never find out a consensus. I've owned a few laptops over the years, being the latest one an HP Pavillion bought 3 or 4 years ago. Just like you, I always keep the battery in and my laptop is almost...- SARodrigues

Should pets have a "human" name?
You got that right. Cats learn their name really fast. Well... not the name, but a certain simple sound in their name. However, I'd say you may call it whatever you like, the cat will still know when it is about him. Mine is named "Laiko"; but he'll respond anyway if I call him "Moron"...- SARodrigues

QQ/Complain thread. Complain about anything!!!
Both Facebook and Last.FM are working fine here guys (Europe). PS: I'm starting to both love and hate head-fi. I've never spent more than 30bucks for a pair of phones in my life. That being said, I've almost spend near 130bucks just in the last 7 days, and it won't...- SARodrigues

QQ/Complain thread. Complain about anything!!!
I'm angry at the legal system. I'm so tired of being called to court in two differente countries in the last year, for things I did not do and I should not be concerned about. Not to mention the legal system is so broken... My bank account is getting exhausted with so much moving... And...- SARodrigues

Any Portal 2 fans out there?
That dang game! When I got bored with Minecraft SP I decided to try Portal since everyone was talking about it. Well, played both Portal 1 and 2 in a single night. Portal 1 was a lot of fun, and so was the beginning of Portal 2. Somewhere at the middle I got bored (I don't really...- SARodrigues

The Stages of Audio / Video Ownership
Haha so true. Unfortunaly I usually reach stage 4 in a week. Stage 5 (repeating) takes a lot longer, since my boss (wallet) keeps me from starting all over again for a lot of time.- SARodrigues

Do we hear all alike or different ?
Excellent post and thread, it most certainly captured my attention (I've read the original post multiple times!). Quote: hamu144 You are right, and in my opinion this should be common sense. Does true neutrality exist? Yes and no, since not everyone has the same HRTF...- SARodrigues

CDs gone all frosty looking
I've never seen anything like that in my life, and I have lots of cds stored in the worst conditions. Lots of them with 10 years. No clue about what may have caused it. Quote: Does it happen consistently? II'd love to replicate the pattern on the OP's cds.- SARodrigues

What type of listener are you in terms of volume output?
Voted loud volume, and just like tmars78 it depends a lot on the type of music I am listening. On the other hand, I listen to very low volumes at night, and between medium and extremely high volumes during the day. The place where I am also contributes to the equation.- SARodrigues

Thoughts from a first time canalphones user - Yet another review of the Sennheiser CX 300-II
First of all, let me say I know these canalphones are already well debated. However, I noticed most of the reviews come from long time users of earbud and canalphone users. How about those making their first steps in the headphone world? I have absolutely no background in any sort of headphone...- SARodrigues

Epic Piano (does it exist?)
Hi headfiers, first post, long time lurker. :) RPGWiZaRD, I enjoyed most of your links, thank you! Probably not what the OP is looking for, but I think this is worth listening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR94NDIfGmA Not a piano solo, however it is EPIC in my opinion. ;)- SARodrigues
