Timestamp Bought these both brand new from an authorized dealer back in August 2020. Used both of them for about 10-15 hours each and then put them back in their boxes at the end of that month and haven't touched them since. Took a glance at them and wasn't able to find any cosmetic defects...- manthisis

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Do y'all know a good place to get a replacement ER4S cable for not super expensive? There also used to be these MMCX adapters for ER4 series that allowed you to use any MMCX cable with it but I can't find an ER4S specific version anymore.- manthisis

Touching up a couple paint chips on an HD 650?
Just bought an HD 650, but it has a couple scuffs on it that I'd like to fill in. Nothing major, but just want to make the chips a bit less noticeable. Is there anything in mind that you guys have to fill in those spots? It doesn't have to be perfect, just a similar color to the HD 650 paint. I...- manthisis

Radsone EarStudio ES100
Do you guys know how I should configure these settings so it's as close to the original source as possible? I don't want the sound to change beyond how it sounded when I just ran my IEM's from my iPhone, so which of these settings will have the least effect on the sound?- manthisis

Have y'all found any third party triple flanges that are inbetween the two stock sizes? The small stock triflanges are a tad too small, and the large ones are a tad too big for me.- manthisis

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Yeah, I saw those posts. I'm just curious about the extent of the difference. Is it enough to say that the ER4 is more resolving than the ER3? I'm sure you guys have seen that the FR of the ER3XR can be made to be the same as the ER4XR with an appropriate impedance adapter. I'm wondering, if the...- manthisis

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Has anybody actually confirmed the internals of the differences between ER3XR and ER4XR? I've seen the measurements that show that an ER3XR can have the same frequency response as an ER4XR with an added resistor, so does that mean they are essentially the same in that case? Or are they using...- manthisis

Aminus hates everything (Or, Aminus rants and reviews stuff)
Is your rating scale based on a crin-like "ranked based off of technicalities and not personal preference" or are you determining their ranks as a "this is how much I enjoyed them out of 10"? Just curious so I can gauge exactly how you feel about certain IEMs. You rank the WF-1000XM3 at the...- manthisis

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread
N3 is a natural upgrade to E5K if you’re looking for more treble performance. It follows a similarly smooth curve except it extends a bit better and the driver is a bit more capable. Definitely give it a shot.- manthisis

Any of you guys know of any tips that don’t block the front vent of the final E5000? Tips like spiral dots block the vent and make it way too bassy. The final stock tips are falling out of my ear- manthisis

Right, I've tried inserting using etymotic's insertion technique, tried pulling my earlobe down, tried the stock clear/ety opaque grey/third party triflanges of various sizes, it all doesn't seal well. I mean, it seals, but I don't get that etymotic isolation that is known for (I've gotten it a...- manthisis

I ordered Comply P series in medium, so I'll give those a go and if they don't work out, I'll try the Tsx100. I think for the triflanges, it's not so much a matter of deep insertion, but I just think that the largest flange never makes a seal in the outer opening of my ear canal. the smaller...- manthisis

Understood! I actually seem to have the problem where my ear canals are too big, so the extra nozzle length will likely help with ensuring a seal.- manthisis

Interesting. What do you do to make them last so long? How do you clean them? I just ordered a pair of comply p series in medium! Since small shure Olives are a tad too small and ety grey foam are a tad too big, hopefully these will work out.- manthisis

Very interesting! That’s a lot longer than I’ve thought. A lot of people I’ve talked to said they last less than 1 month often. Which model/size do you use? The earphones plus triflanges from Amazon!- manthisis

Thanks for the reply. I seem to have had this fit problem with Etymotics for a while and I am at my wit’s end. The ER2XR sound is so perfect for me but getting a good fit is so difficult. Neither triflange size seals super well for me (can still hear my fingers rubbing test), stock foam is a...- manthisis

For you comply users, what size should I use? For reference, the small beige ety foams don’t seal at all, small shure olives almost seal but need to be a bit bigger. Grey etymotic foams seal well but are just a tad too big for my ears, and make them feel stuffed.- manthisis
