Hello, can you please clarify how the volume control behave in the USB DAC mode? Is it possible on Apple device (Macbook Pro with Mac OS) to use the system volume control? Or is the volume "hardcoded" to use the mechanical wheel on device only? Thank you!

Someone able to compare latency to Apple Airpods Pro please? They are still far behind competition, despite being quite old already. Especially used with Apple Macbooks. The delay is so small, you can actually use them for work in FinalCut / Logic.. are WF-1000Xm4 on par, or still worse?

PP8 should be more analytical and true.. technically exposing all possible (good or bad) details in the music, no matter the genre. Lot of actual research was put into their development and tuning. Two switches also does wonders and you can slightly adjust them to your liking.

It is the same tuning, but with the universals you have the option to switch the tips and slightly EQ the sound. To my findings, usage of the foam tips is very close to the custom version. With silicone tips you get that mentioned sibilance.

There was no mention of updating to 3rd gen, but it is possible they changed the tuning a little. BTW I have one pair of UERR 2 gen with 2 pin cable for sale (+reshell).

Had them all, and for reference sound there is IMHO no better choice than InEar Prophile-8 S.
