Bump and I guess I meant portable amp so my bad...

I only use them on my PC so I'm looking for a nice amp I'm new to high end audio but I like to get the big stuff first and skip wasting my time working my way up.   Budget is variable I hope to shoot for 100-130 USD but I can go lower or higher if the bang/buck is great.

Never owned a nice pair of headphones, started out with gaming headsets then blam I went all the way to the 900 Pro's and I almost cried because of how good my electronic music sounded and movies were even more amazing than before.   Looking to get an amp for them later on not sure which one...

Haha silly me they sound like god talkin to me, I didn't have the plug threaded in all the way I'm crying of happiness!!   If an Amp can make them sound better...  I didn't know audio could sound this good.

Sorry for the bump but I got my 900 Pros but I found out my soundcard isn't up to snuff to handle these guys half of my sound is far too quite... What Amp do you guys recommend I was thinking of a sound card for them.

Hopefully my last question, is it necessary for me to get an amp? I would rather get a nice one later then a cheap one now just to get by, I'm not sure if they have an adapter to fit 1/8 or whatever the standard analog plugin size is.   And what would be a nice clip on mic nothing crazy...

They compared them to Beats by Dr Dre...   I'm running away from them now, I do really like the way the 900 Pro's look and I imagine the bass is amazing so my techno will rock my world like never before.   But I will look at the HFI-580's too because they are much cheaper.

Thanks for the input guys :D   I will NEVER be using these cans for an iPod only my PC, my friend was telling me that I should look for something around ~200 because they will sound close to the ~400 budget ones too (or close enough to save 200 for something else)

Well I could replace my gaming headset easily with a solid clipon mic but that is for later, this is now.
