I use them out of my E11 on the go and to be honest even at home.    I think the little Beyer likes near 0 Ohms since it's not sounding that good out of my hybrid (68 Ohm). Maybe I'll do some A/Bs out of my iPod to verify that.

Did it work for you with the foam of the pleather-pads Tiemen? I got the same problem, I scored some CD1700 some months ago and their pads are also very flat. Or is it normal that your ears touch the HP?
