I'll be ordering a Red Cape for you Bobby - that way you can be Audio Thor :beerchug: I bet it would sound incredibly good with Sovereign or Sovereign Symphony by Nightjar. Nightjar + Unique Melody - heh. On the topic of Marvel superheroes... that's like a Marvel meets DC Universe combination...

As @aaf evo mentions, the Trailli OG still seems to have that magic that even the Ti can't reproduce, and the community knows that as good as Trailli is (the tuning, tone and techs blend being a top tier generalist) it is starting to lag behind the new players in pure techs. Trailli Ti really...

Seems we have very aligned preferences. Mentor is quickly becoming forgotten but still is a top tier offering for me. Also a favorite of mine when it comes to mids, between it and CP622B but the Mentor is more dynamic and textured.

Just want to share some personal experience with the same combo, but I've noticed going from the default 0dB pad to -1 or -2dB attenuation on the DC Elite dongle significantly changes the Anni23 voicing, and I actually prefer it with the reduced pad personally. This is the side switch's feature...

CanJam New York 2024 Impressions Thread (March 9-10, 2024)

To me, it's clear as day, Storm is a full tier above Storm. It's like going from a Focal Clear to a Focal Utopia in terms of percentage ratio of fidelity. Jewel's bass is more competitive though, but the midrange & treble gap is rather large.

Perhaps you might be intrigued about this down the horizon... It was teased and shown at Canjam NYC If you tried Anni23 with the Cayin dongle then you didn't really try Anni23. It's one of the more power hungry IEM's out there and scales a lot. Even most DAP's don't really push it, making it...

Safe trip! Should be a very scenic drive with lots of interesting pitstops to make :)

Hey man, thanks for this! I decided to have fun with this while finishing up some work. I take these types of "demos" with a grain of salt, but always still try at it. I decided to use Volur (a neutral/ish monitor) and EQ'd it to Crinacle target to have a "sorta neutral" baseline. On the first...

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

Any chance to see a graph any time soon? (not that graphs tell all the story of course) Very curious to get ears on this someday :)

Thanks @twister6 for those tags, I think I actually met you @tjzurlaaa last NYC... Correct me if I'm wrong you were rocking MEST MK2 and had a moment of panic at the A-T booth thinking you lost the iem's? If that's indeed you, damn you put in the work in 2023 getting some flagship IEM's! Very...

Audio Technica the master of WOOD

ZMF pads will give you a much rounder sound with even a bit of a tasteful boominess to the midbass and a chestier low midrange. The main difference is tipping the scale towards macro contrast instead of a sharper transients response and microdynamics - can definitely rock out a bit more with ZMF...

    ZMF Auteur Thread

Looks like we're twins when it comes to hearing :) Agreed on all points! Auteur Classic doesn't get enough love I find. I think every single HP enthusiast should own a set

    SONY IER-Z1R

The DC Elite + Z1R provides absurd value. I found it to sound entirely better than a combo more than triple its price (Fei Wan + DX320x Edition X), and that in itself is fabulous sounding.

Is your favorite Trifecta? :beerchug: But yeah, like any high-end hobby, picking "1 favorite" is impossible. It's like having to pick your favorite sports car of all time. There's no "One" car that is entirely superior to everything else out there. Same goes for any consumer product. And...

    Elysian Annihilator 2023

I had the RN6 in house for a couple weeks and own the Anni23 of course. They are definitely both great IEM's, but one is higher res than the other whilst the other has a more versatile tuning in some ways and more daily fitment. What kind of music and gear are you sourcing for the IEM, those...

    ZMF Auteur Thread

Auteur Classic has the ADS by the way. It makes it (for me) quite a nice performance leap over the OG Auteur. I actually rank Auteur Classic as my favorite ZMF, just does no wrong in its fabulous tuning. Caldera is my favorite when it comes to techs followed by VO.

They're very different and complementary IEM's in many ways. Both have an analytical/ forward top end, but U12T is more linear and clean whereas Z1R is more exciting and dynamic. A good musically exciting set + a good reference monitor - could have your bases covered. It was an endgame duo for...

    Nightjar Singularity

Very excited to hear your take on the M9 compared to Singularity. I would agree that Singularity is a better IEM overall, but M9 is a great monitor and my most repurchased set yet (3 times lol) just because of it's very accurate monitor-like tuning. Cheers,

Overall, easily for me. Owned both and U12T excels with midrange and treble for rez, and definitely extracts more detail. But the lows are much less nuanced and textured in resolve compared to Z1R's DD unit. Summed together, Z1R reconstructs more from the source overall. U12T off Apple dongle...

At such a high-resolution tier, I feel like it's difficult to categorize. Then of course every different IEM has tonal and textural variance relative to some others (+/-). But from my experience, if I were to expand the top tier into sub tiers, here's how I would rank some great IEM's from the...
