I believe that you are trying to insert it too deeply.   And by the way (well, I already mentioned it in this thread, and it's just from my personal experience) by avoiding to insert too deeply, you will probably get a better bass presence. If you don't manage to get a good seal this way...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Quote: It shouldn't sound much different no ? I mean, beside if you have a bad seal with the original, all you will upgrade is the comfort and maybe a bit the SQ if you manage to get a even better seal. I would be surprised if you get a significant upgrade SQ wise.

Quote:     Yeah, stock tips are really good, it's just a matter of preference. If I wasn't already in possession of unused hybrids I would probably still be using the stock tips.

Happened to me at the very beginning.   I switched to a bigger size, now I don't plug them as deep and bass is definitely more satisfying, without sacrificing the isolation.   You should try, I would not be surprised that you just plug them too deeply.     For the question to...

You can use Sony Hybrids with the TD III according to some people, just you have to stretch them (a lot, I agree, but it is said that they are resistant)

Quote: He is currently reviewing the SE530 and the SE535. But for the story, he didn't have a great experience when he first tested some Shure IEM and that's why he never bothered reviewing them without having the opportunity for it (probably someone lent him the 530 & 535).

TD III V2 available for... 80€! (but shipping seems to be included) Textile cable as announced... but J-type.   The pics are not updated.

While the crackling itself of the driver flex doesn't annoy me at all, the problem I had probably because of this and the fact that the sound of the TD III are very dependent of the depth of the insertion (making for me hard to have the perfect insertion without being the sound being altered by...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Quote:   Apparently Joker barely perceived any sibilance, so you should probably ask in the CK10 topic.   At the end of this post, "Sony, Shure tri-flanges, and/or foam tips" seem to be recommended for sibilance issues.

No big deal generally, that's just inverted.   It's only if you want to listen the music the way it was meant to be. It may be more annoying if you are classical music amateur.

Speaking about TDIII cable, according to the website the next batch will come with a "textile cable".   I would not be surprised that it's the same cable of the N3i.

    Audio Technica ATH-CK10

Ok, I am finally part of the CK10 owners club since two days and I am really not disappointed so far. =)   Funny that despite having read so many comments about how really small they are I still got surprised when I received them. And about that I was wondering... how people pull them back...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Wow, you have a whole new bunch of Xears IEM added to your planned list. I am curious about the Resonance model.   But personally, it's the fact that the GR07 directly jumped at the bottom of your In progress list that interested me the most. I was looking to the DBA-02 for its very good...

Xears Turbo Devices TD100 III BLACKWOOD

Just received my new TD III. The reputation of Thomas is well-established here, but I still need to mention that answered me back quickly on the same day, a Saturday, with a convenient solution, and sent the replacement unit on the Monday. Faster is impossible, kudos to him.     However he...

Just for info, a new model is available, called Xears Resonance, available in Black or Bicolor.   Too bad that with the description on the website we can hardly know the sound signature it has, but considering the quality of the TDIII, my curiosity is piqued.

Xears Turbo Devices TD100 III BLACKWOOD

The right speaker of my TD III just stopped working.   I read on one topic on Head-Fi forums that driver flex presents no risks for the IEM, but I am afraid that's the cause of the problem. I was listening my music, wanted to move a bit the right speaker to be more comfortable, I heard the...

First, thank you ljokerl for all your impressive work. I started to search for IEM in September, found your topic, and since I bought a IM-590 and recently a Xears TDIII and I never was disappointed. Your descriptions are top notch and well documented (even if for the Xears TDIII you still...
