WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!
Fwiw I have been a very happy owner of the WA7 / WA7tp since it's release; I always plug phones in before powering up. I always check the volume as well.- desertblues

Woo Audio WA7TP (tube power supply) Impressions Thread
Hi everyone, just want to say I'm still enjoying the Hytrons in my WA7TP (much thanks to JebListens for urging me to try 'em). The SQ with these tubes is jaw-dropping at times with all my favorite headphones(TH900, T1 & Grados). One of these days I'll roll the Mullards back in but these are my...- desertblues

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
I also got the velour pads from massdrop, received mine over a week ago. It's amazing how much they improve the M50 in terms of sound and comfort. Definitely worth having imo.- desertblues

Woo Audio WA7TP (tube power supply) Impressions Thread
By now I have tried the Hytrons with the following: Grado RS1i + PS500, T1 and the Fostex TH900. Everyone of my favorite cans have benefited greatly with these tubes - the TH 900's most of all. Until now I was thinking they were better with solid state amps. I am happy to say that is no longer...- desertblues

Woo Audio WA7TP (tube power supply) Impressions Thread
Hi Jeb - I found a beautiful pair of the Hytrons (mid 1950's w/elongated bent getters natch) and installed them in the WA7 immediately. Talk about lightning in a bottle, they are indeed superb - my new favorites! I can't believe how much they improve the T1 in soundstage and isolation of...- desertblues

Woo Audio WA7TP (tube power supply) Impressions Thread
I am currently enjoying a pair of RCA 5814a blackplates, 3 mica 1950's vintage. I only have 12 hours on these, but they are definitely going to stay in my rotation. My favorite to date is a beautiful pair of Mullard ECC82 (Blackburn 1964 date codes). I am also fond of the RCA cleartops, but I...- desertblues

Just finished reading your tube rolling guide for the WA7, and I have to tell you this may be the best one I have ever come across based on my experiences with many of the tubes you reviewed. Should be required reading for WA7 owners! Thanks for the great review.- desertblues

The DX90 by iBasso . . . Sound impressions . . . . . . . New Firmware, 2.5.1 . . .
I have had the DX90 for a few days and am very pleased with it's performance with internal memory. I purchased it with the bundle on Amazon including 128gb micro card. I can't get files to load to card from my iMac, do I need to format the card? I have little experience with this. Any help would...- desertblues

I got my DX90 just yesterday and I am having a very different experience. I am quite pleased with how good it sounds right out of the box! It blows away my iPod touch and any phone I've heard. So far I've tried my T1, PS500 and TH900 and they are all great with the DX90! The TH900 is really...- desertblues

WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!
I also have the TH900 which is indeed spectacular with WA7/WA7tp. The other flagship I would recommend you try is the T1 - has amazing soundstage, accurate bass, gorgeous mids etc. And the WA7 drives them with ease.- desertblues

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
My amp/dac of choice for my T1 is the Woo Audio WA7 w/tube power supply. It has a high impedance switch for cans like the T1, and I don't normally have to raise volume higher than 9 o'clock to get full sound quality (I mostly listen to hi rez or quality lossless downloads these days). I too come...- desertblues

Yes, the price for T1's seems to fluctuate more often than other high end headphones. I paid $699 for mine last year from Buydig. Brand new - not b stock or open box! If you are patient you can find a good deal somewhere.- desertblues

WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!
I am currently running a matched pair of the Mullard ECC82 - they were made in Britain in 1964 at the Blackburn factory. They are awesome in the WA7tp! I would think a similar tube from India was most likely made under license from Mullard and may differ in quality. I paid $140 for a matched...- desertblues

[Review] Woo Audio WA7, a very unscientific review
Thanks for the review! I've been enjoying the WA7 since it's release and added the awesome WA7tp when it became available. I don't feel any need to upgrade this amp and am continually amazed at it's versatility with my T1's, Grado's and AKG's. It excels with everything (and NOS Mullard's in the...- desertblues

Mac OS X Music Players - alternatives to iTunes
I wonder why there seems to be no love for Pure Music here. I started with Bitperfect and tried the PM free trial about 3 years ago, loved it for it's SQ and ability to download and play flac files on my iMac. It has been trouble free on my Mac and worked just fine with several dacs (currently...- desertblues
