Since HifiM8 is a DAC/AMP. What is the reason people use Ak120 which the DAC/AMP?   Wouldn't you use a cheapo storage DAP combined with the HIFI M8? Since the DAC and AMP on the source becomes superfluous.

Currently listening to 320k quality music on iphone. I've been long waiting for the HiFi-M8 plus a set of Weston4R.   What do you guys think of that setup? Should I get a dedicated source instead? eg Astell&Kernell    Pls comment on the earphones as well. I have a pair of AudioFly...

Somebody try to listen to adele's someone like you. Around 3:10 u will hear a loud and obvious crackle or distortion... I'm wondering if its my source or the actually song was recorded like that.

ydah I wanna hear from professionals advice. It's more obvious when the recording contains a lot of hiss or open stage.

I've compared flac and mp3 , both sources have crackle in the sound. At the same spot. However in CD, I don't notice any. is this a common thing with mp3 and flac? using earphones, it's hard to hear it. But with a car stereo which amplifies the sound, it's more noticeable.

I have iDevices, was contemplating to buy a Fostex HP-P1 or get another DAP with true digital output for use with any DAC.   what DAP is out there that will work with DACs? this has to be portable.

I have a set of Hippo 10 EB, but also wanna get a pair of Head Direct RE0. The Hippo 10EB is neutral, good mids and highs, but terrible low, which sounds very much like the RE0 from reviews.   Are they similar earphones? I just dont wanna get the same sounding earphones, so hope you guys...

ok...my question really is.. how can i improve my sound? should i ditch the iphone and go with a cowon d2, which i DO alreayd own,...im jus using the iphoen for portability...which having to carry two devices.   or should i add a dac or amp to the iphone?  

it sounds more lively on the macbook compared to iphone. the iphone 4 sounds more weak and dull.... what i am asking is... is that the DAC affecting it? or is it because macbook has a more powerful amp which makes the sound more louder, crisp and lively...

first of all , i am no expert, but I've heard music from the iPhone and also played music through the macbook. i feel the music is much more lively, louder and more power...as compared to the iPhone. Is that the DAC or iPhone requires an amp?

is the triplefi 10 straight jack or L shaped????i just made a purchase on ebay and they claim 100% genuine but it's L shaped.but from all the pictures i can gain from google, they are all straight....im very curious right now..please share ur opinions.btw, it's got the amazon package...
