Interesting product, I have a few amps that it could mesh well with instead of purchasing the LYR which would save on costs.  The only reason I asked about the Stax headphone was because someone is selling it locally used for $480.

After being a dj for ten years the world of hifi is a welcome change. From what I have demoed so far I like the denon d 7000 and grado rs1i's. I didnt really care for the sen hd 650's however when i tested them it was hooked up to a peachtree and IMO not properly amplified.

I live in Toronto and dont forsee any meets here in the near future, which is why Im combing this site with a fine tooth.

After getting totally addicted to this website and reading different posts every night for the last month and a half, I have finally made a decision and it is the LYR.  Now for my second decision lcd2-he6 or he5le?

I breifly demoed the rs2i and thought the jump to the rs1's was quite noticeable. I found them more detailed and also enjoyed the bass a lot more without the bass being over the top and still maintaing clarity. I only wish they had a proper head amp to listen on, and a salperson that didnt frown...
