I tried multiple cables, sources, tubes and even put the gear on a different circuit in my house and still the same thing. The sound to some might sound like static (more like interference from another radio signal). This is a weird thought, but could it be that this specific amp is susceptible...

After some more listening I should state that the sound is not really distorted but broken up. When raising the volume when bass is playing is when the problem starts to really become apparent. When mostly playing highs the sound doesn't seem to be affected. Really weird.

Thanks Aimless. I'm going to look into the Audeze as well. I just purchased the DT990 250ohms. I felt more comfortable going middle of the road with these (32ohm 250ohm 600ohm). I heard a bunch of good things.   Regards Thomas
