Any comparison to vc1000?

have had the casing break 2x on the vc1000 in the same spot while changing tips (only iem it's happened with).   my gr07 also stopped working due to the cable.

i've actually settled on the shure triple flange with the stem cut off.  Best seal and fit for me, and fits the gr07 nicely (because it stretches).  this is the tip (with the stem on):  

what tips fit the GR07?   i have the stock tips from the new pack, which includes i think 18 pairs.   i get the best fit from the stock foam.   the etymotic grey tri-flanges also fit, although you need to stretch them to fit, as the ety tip is smaller.   i can squeeze the shure...

isolation and soundstage important. 

as mentioned, it's alot about where you're using your headphones.  i think most agree that iem's at best aim to compete with comparable full sized.  a great iem makes you not notice you're not using a full sized in terms of sound.  but iem's have portability and isolation that full sized can't...

one thing i'm trying to get over with my 003 - wearing them in public as a portable.  they are big.  funny looking big.  i thought i could use them as commuting (train) cans, but haven't ventured out of the house with them yet.
