Two Solid State options for your setup would be the Heed Audio CanAmp or Eddie Current EC/SS.

    MS-Proi's vs RS1i's

What's this "ultimate mod" you speak of knopi?
  13. CTechKid

Let's make it simple. Let's use only one very good headphone.

Since getting my RS1i and straightening out my chain to where I'm satisfied, I'm able to keep coming back to these forums and have zero desire to spend money on anything but music. <3 RS1i.

    Justin @ Headamp.com

If you're going to sell luxury goods in today's instant gratification society you better be prepared to man the communication lines. I don't think an automated response or a 1 liner indicating the receipt of funds is asking too much, regardless of work load.

    650+Gilmore Lite=DAC?

I would be inclined to recommend the Musical Fidelity VDAC for your needs. Very clean sound with a tiny bit of injected warmth. Plus its a fantastic value.

    Grado SR60i worth 110$?

Given your situation and desire for value, I would definitely get the MS1i. They offer better detail and have superior drivers compared to the SR60i.

Ripping an entire CD collection into ALAC?

iTunes' error correction is mediocre. If you can guarantee that the source CD is 100% scratch/blemish free than itunes is a satisfactory ripper. For anything below 100% on the condition scale I would use XLD. Just my opinion.
