It was mainly just the issue with bass but that was resolved when I got the amp. I just picked up Grado SR225is yesterday and they sure best them at the mid and highs, but I think that would be the case with most open-ear vs. closed-ear. 

I am on a tight budget ~$100 and would like headphones for when I'm editing my piano work; most likely un-amped. Any suggestions? Think Sennheiser might have good ones in that range, not sure though.

I love the compact-size of the T3 and it sure sounds great. Not bad for ~$120. Was debating between that and the T3D and T4.
