Reshell Options for W4 busted wire - Brisbane Australia
Hi Guys, Just want to ask if you can recommend me a company to do custom reshells for my Westone W4. My W4 got a busted wire but I don't want to buy a new one as the drivers are still working fine. I really liked how they sound and I want them custom reshelled. I checked with Westone, Acustoms...- kingice10

EarSonics S-EM6 & S-EM6v2 Six driver universal IEM
Nice @average_joe! EM6 has creamy mids, IE800 has more low end. They are both great sounding but with different flavors. I only have gripes with the built if IE800 - they are so small and the wire is stiffer.- kingice10

I'm using my JH16s when I tried in Jaben SG using J3 as DAP. The sound from the amp made the bass of JH16 controlled and more focused. The soundstage is also impressively wider. The resolution became better from a very good stock resolution of J3-JH16- kingice10

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
The mids of the UM3DD is really weird in their Demo on our local shop here (Stereo Singapore). I was playing some songs with great mids, W4 and SM64 are on par, then going to UM 3DD, it went downhill from there. The mids in the 3DD is spread across, like when you hear one voice in the center for...- kingice10

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
Drool! As an IEM guy, this is pretty awesome news from Shure! Since last time I checked that their flagship IEM 535 and 535SE are always being overshadowed with more current IEMs. I'm not really a fan of their sound. And now they have a new flagship, it may now compete properly and it is...- kingice10

Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)
Quote: I have the JH16, and if I compare the Old JH16 to W4 or SM3, the treble is smoothened compared to what you experienced. But for me there's nothing wrong with JH16 aside from the powerful bass that may accentuate sometimes, as I have my ears are tuned to how the Jh16s sounds. ...- kingice10

I also had this - the SQ is nice. I loved them for movies and videos with their hollow soundstage. Although the midbass is overpowering, it does not frequently drowns the midrange. Best bang-of-buck if you below $200.- kingice10

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
Ahm...I think it was kept in my bag when it was playing. Although it was in the pouch of my bag with ample ventilation but under the glowing sun. though I don't know if there is a temperature cap for these players to work well in their manual.- kingice10

Just got my DX100 from Service Center and it still sounds sublime...no more beeping sound for my iems. However, I already cant control the screen after a few plays. And the unit is now getting hot! The outside temp here is 36degrees celsius and it may affect the player in some sort. Do you also...- kingice10

Compact Monitors Stage 3 Impressions
Great impressions! Although I haven't tried UM Miracles for a very long time, I agreed that these 2 are two of the best sounding CIEMs that I had heard. Stage 3 is very good in all genres I throw at. Too bad, it's not very well-known in the Headfi community compared to the Heir's, Fitear...- kingice10
