ADEL Technology - Discussion Thread - Update: March 27, 2016: Please Read 2nd Post of the Thread
Sorry, my mistake. I have a couple of different brands of custom IEM's. You are correct. It wasn't the UE11 pros that i am referring to, it's my 64 Audio A12's that have the 4 x Adel modules. When i got them reshelled 64 Audio did them with the original ADEL modules because that's what they...- aussietanker

Hi guys... I'm sorry that this post is a bit off topic. I recently bought a mint condition set of custom UE11Pro's - the ones with the original Adele modules. But i can't find instructions on how to remove and insert the modules correctly and I'm dead scared of breaking something. I have...- aussietanker

SONY NW-ZX2
Hi folks ... I have a quick question. I have recently bought a cable second hand. I don't use a DAP at all as a source, just my smartphone (LGV20) + my laptop. The cable fits my CIEMs at the 2 prong end fine, but when i use it with either my laptop or my smartphone the sound is in one earpiece...- aussietanker

I am quite curious to know how well that LED lamp cures the mix. How do you find it? Does it cure "all the way through"? 1. I have been saving to get a "professional" grade curing lamp from somewhere like Oaktree products, but they are several 100 dollars as opposed to $22 ... Is it worth...- aussietanker

Thanks for the info re veneers :) What changes did you make to the design of the universal? I think that i read (on here?) that Shure has the "best fit" or "most comfortable" fit/shape/design for a universal. I don't have a shure in my collection of IEM's. Any thoughts on that at all?- aussietanker

They look absolutely awesome. I think that the colors are fantastic and seem to have a great "depth". I also love the zebra wood. It's one of my favorite faceplate materials. (not that i have actually made any as yet - just the look i mean) Just out of interest, where do you buy abalone shell...- aussietanker

wow ... Thanks for the link, but they are very expensive at approx USD$ 30 each! Are you happy with them? Is there anywhere that you can buy in bulk quantities (ie a box of 50 etc) without taking out a mortgage? :frowning2: I am a bit peeved with the MMCX connectors on the latest expensive...- aussietanker

So you do an initial pour of clear resin, then give it a short uv light exposure to slightly "set" it - then you mix glitter into a fresh batch of uncured resin, then pour the resin & glitter mix into the mold to form a new shell layer on top of the existing clear layer. Is that how it works?- aussietanker

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
Yes, i realize that its a very different earphone from the piston v1, 2, 3. I just used that term because it was the successor to the v3 - and even tho it's not officially part of the piston line it is still commonly referred to as the piston v4 in reviews and on Amazon etc- aussietanker

Unfortunately gearbest is sold out of v1, v2 & v3 I am hoping that someone has some in a drawer that they dont use anymore and are happy to have some cash in exchange for them so i have placed a [WTB] advert over in the appropriate thread.
