Hey, i have modded the Sr001 mk2 and i am quite happy with it. The output capacitors have huge impact on the sound, so try to find the Vishay ones if you want to stay portable. I am powering the amp with single 14500 Li-ion battery or with wall power supply (a good one)

This dock is pure digital. If you want analog output (RCA), than you need a DAC. I think it is better to buy the other DK1 dock with analog out.

Maybe your unit is faulty. I am using the balanced output with Sens HD660s and it sounds great. The OS is sluggish, but it works. I have no issues with spotify, tidal, amazon music HD and the sound is great. Another question. What headphones are you using with the bal output?

On the M9 Fiio app you have Fiio link in settings. You have to put the same IP on the iphone app and it will connect It does not work with bluetooth on iphone, only wifi

If Amazon HD wont play and you just get a rotating thing (processing, processing) you need to start a track that's 24/96 in another app (i use neutron) then stop it and switch to Amazon HD and it will play just fine. It is some bug in Amazon HD app that wont activate the sound driver the proper way.

Just load your music on the SD card with a card reader. Fast and easy.

Sorry, i was not answering your post. I had hard time finding the output capacitors for the mod, so i posted a good one from Vishay that is actually in production. You can check Mouser. They have several brands and types of 2.2uf 350-400v.

This is for the output caps C7 and C8 and this is the right value.

As all proposed output capacitors are very hard to find, here is what i have found from Farnel. The soundstage is very nice and open. At first the sound was too warm for my taste, but after 30-40 hours of burn in it settled down. Here is the part number: MKP1839310631

I have issues with Airplay dropping connection after 10-20minutes. I have the "Keep Wifi on during sleep" enabled Also i have tried to disable sleep and it keeps playing if the screen is ON. If i turn off the screen with the power buton again after 10-20min airplay disconnects.

Guys i have two questions. First is it there sound improvement with balanced over unbalanced. Second is it worthy (in terms of sound quality improvement) to change the stock cable with some silver plated cryo treated meteorite forged cable for the 660s :) ?

Guys please keep in mind that without burning in (at least 100 hours) my HD660s also gave me some strange ear resonances in the midrange. Now they sound incredible to me with vali2 and philips SQ tube.
