1964 Ears
ya, I think the 1964-Ts definitely have a fun EQ to them. I like the punchy bass, and I really like the "rolled off" highs... I really can't tell that I am missing anything. Really for the price I paid for them, I don't think it will be possible to find anything that comes close. Lets face...- Anthony77

I agree... there is plenty of bass in the 1964-T... so much so, I couldn't imagine what the quads would do to the sound signature...For me the 1964-Ts are exactly what I was looking for and at a good price... I definitely feel the thump, and I always thought I was a bass head. But I hear these...- Anthony77

Wow. Why are you overly critical? I am not confused at all. I was just trying to give a quick update on my purchase. I am a principal at a K-12 private school and have excellent grammar. I often times do not like reading a three page synopsis on a product over and over again by different...- Anthony77

Quote: yes, it sounds like a refit might be necessary. If you are losing the seal when moving like that, it is probably too loose... But man, it is a tough science, because if it is too tight it brings discomfort, but it does seal better. I am currently trying to decide if I want them...- Anthony77

arrggg... I am getting so impatient... I dropped off my impressions, order form, and money on the 11th... They replied to an email I sent them and said the 11th of April is when I should expect them... I am hoping for less time than that... because that is 31 days! But I used to work at Apple...- Anthony77

Well Aleksey did say that it is a turnaround of 30 days right now. I asked him to change the website in the FAQ section... but they didn't. I am a super impatient person, but I am working on it. This is good for me.- Anthony77

Quote: Ya, I know... I have never bought customs before, and I know nothing about other companies as well. I just don't know how normal it is for companies to do refits... Is 1964 doing it more often than other companies? Is it pretty common for any company to have to do a refit? I...- Anthony77

maybe I am just a nervous buyer, but I have read about quite a few people returning their 1964 in ears for refits... Is this normal? Its not a huge deal because they do the adjustments for free, but I am a little nervous hearing everyone say they had to return their customs 2 - 3 times for...- Anthony77

Erieg, That lines up with what they said when I showed up on Friday to drop off my impressions.. He said they were working 'til real late the previous night.. It does seem like they are really working hard to make head way on all the orders..- Anthony77

well... to be honest, only one person was working, and he wasn't working on IEMs... The place was almost vacant at 9:30 - 9:45 am on a Friday. But yeah, an IEM studio would have been cool. So I went to the office of 1964 today to drop off my impressions for a set of triples... and they sure are busy. I walked in and asked if they have been busy and he pointed to a wall... and there were like 30 sets all in trays that he said were just recently finished... apparently, the techs...- Anthony77

Can we just build our own internals for customs and send to someone to build the shell and sleeve?
I wondered this myself... I mean, how much are the components in these, they are just BAs and from what I understand not that expensive, that and crossovers... and tiny wires and sauder... am I missing anything?- Anthony77

ya, well 80 - 90k isn't that much at our level... the last church I attended put 1.5 million into their sound... and they did a lot of the work themselves.... They had overkill for sure... that church had a big abundance in funds... but they truly used it for the right reasons, and they gave...- Anthony77
